Why choose a giraffe as the symbol？

Because height determines perspective, and perspective influences thinking.

"Ten years to grow a tree, a hundred years to nurture a person" is a metaphor indicating that educating talents is a long-term endeavor.

What we aim to do is the first year's work of nurturing seedlings, instilling an interest in learning English in each young heart.

The online English tutoring program for Xinyi Elementary School in Xinyi Township, planned and organized by the MyGiraffe Charity Platform for the 2023-2024 school year, was successfully completed last week.

Thank you to the selfless mentor teacher Ms .Donise, consultant Professor Lei, volunteer ESL teachers, and the teachers and students of Xinyi Elementary School for their full cooperation. The children's progress is our reward.

"Accompaniment" can be physical or online. Sincerity is not diminished by the vast Pacific Ocean. It is our blessing to have the opportunity to accompany these lovely children on their learning journey.

In the last class, I reminded the children not to say, "Thank you, teacher, see you next week," because the course has completely ended.

However, the sorrow of this "graduation" farewell lasted only three seconds.

Why? Because we are bringing the ESL tutors back to Taiwan to hold an English summer camp!

From July 8th to July 12th, 2024, we will joyfully head to the mountains!

“十年樹木,百年樹人”比喻教育人才是長久之計. 而我們想做能做的，就是第一年的育苗工作.把對學習英文的興趣植入在每一株幼苗的心中.

齊徠福公益平台為信義鄉信義國小所策劃開闢的2023-2024年線上英文輔導課程在上週圓滿完成.

謝謝無私奉獻的教材顧問Ms. Donise, 學習顧問雷教授, 每週日認真參與的英語教學志工老師群以及信義國小的師生們全力配合. 孩子們的進步是我們的收穫.

「陪伴」可以是實體的, 也可以是線上方式. 心意不會因為隔著大大的太平洋而打折扣. 在學習道路上能有幸陪伴這場可愛的孩子們, 就是我們的福氣.

最後一節課，我提醒孩子們不需要再說:”謝謝老師, 下週見”’. 因為課程已經完全結束了.

但這回”類畢業”道再見的感傷感只有短短3秒鐘. 因為，我們要帶英語小老師們回台舉辦英語夏令營啦!
