Tonight we proceeded with the Lesson One of Unit Two, and to our surprise, we encountered the biggest obstacle and challenge since the launching of the program.

We were not sure whether the issue had anything to do with the typhoon approaching Taitung, but the cruel reality was that our video conference was disrupted completely in less than five minutes and couldn't be reconnected. The computer screen kept showing a connection issue which was unable to resolve.

Facing the sudden change, the only solution is to "keep calm and carry on."

Thank Ms. Amy for putting the best effort in teamwork, we rearranged and modified our lesson plan for the rest of the evening during the time trying to get reconnected. We executed our Plan B by using audio conference feature to teach instead of the video mode, and we were able to cover 95% of our content within our set time. Again, we appreciate our students in Taitung for their understanding and cooperation.

We also want to remind our students in Taitung to pay more attention to their personal and home safety in the wake of the typhoon arrival. Also, we want to send our positive energy to Yan, our student who just got bitten by a hornet. We will keep praying for you and hope the swollenness will be gone in no time! 沒想到今晚全新第2單元第1週課程遇到了開課以來最大的困難挑戰.

雖然不確定是否與又一個颱風即將登陸台灣東部地區有關, 但擺在眼前的事實就是影像傳輸僅進行了 5 分鐘不到就無法再繼續. 電腦不斷顯示與連接端之間的網際網絡出現問題無法排除.

面對變化球之道唯有沉著二字. 感謝 Amy 老師的默契分工, 我們利用幾次嘗試重新連線的短短空檔時間, 立馬修改了今晚接下來的課程內容與順序. 在啟動以語音取代影音的教學模式 (B 計畫) 後, 還能在時間內順利走完 95% 課程. 再次謝謝台東同學們對此突發狀況的善解和配合.

在此颱風來襲前夕, 提醒同學們多注意居家和人身安全. 更要祝福今天來上課時不幸被虎頭蜂螫傷的嚴同學很快消腫恢復健康. 大家都替妳禱告加油! 我們下個週末見!
